A series of works about the destruction of cities and people being on the move in the light of the ever repeating and the actuality.

I made this work at a time that the daily news was to the utmost extent about Syria making us aware of the atrocities of war and terror, of millions of people on the move, fleeing for the horrors, leaving everything behind.

In a way all those images of refugees on television and in the newspapers, seemed a horror version of my pictures of swarming people and the pictures of burned cities seemed a distorted mirror image of the cities I depict.
Although I’m aware it’s not helping anyone,   what makes it in a way non-committed, I couldn’t keep the actuallity out of my work. People on the move became a darker and more uncomfortable subject.
